1992 : Porco Rosso - one of the few films directed by Hayao Miyazaki in which the historical and geographical settings are clearly defined and where most of the story could have happened in the real world.
1997 : Princess Mononoke - first animated feature film to win Best Picture in the Japan Academy Prize.
2001 : Spirited Away - won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature at the 75th Academy Awards, making it the only hand drawn and non-English language animated film.
2004 : Howl's Moving Castle - Miyazaki said the film was his favorite creation, explaining "I wanted to convey the message that life is worth living, and I don't think that's changed."
2008 : Ponyo - the eighth film Miyazaki directed for Ghibli, and his tenth overall.
